SUMMARY:Workday Rising 2027
DESCRIPTION:Workday Rising is Workday’s annual customer conference\, and in 2027 it moves to San Diego for four days\, September 27 to 30. \nWho it is for\nHR\, finance and IT leaders who run Workday or are weighing it up. Workday says the event welcomes existing customers\, prospective clients by invitation\, sponsoring partners\, financial and industry analysts\, and accredited media. \nWhy go\nThe 2027 program has not been announced. The 2026 edition\, held October 12 to 15 in Las Vegas\, gives a good idea of the format. It centered on agentic HR and finance\, with more than 400 sessions including role-based keynotes for HR\, finance and IT\, product demos\, customer showcases and hands-on labs. Aneel Bhusri\, Gerrit Kazmaier and Joel Hellermark gave keynotes\, and Workday reported over 30\,000 attendees across in-person and digital. Expect a similar mix in San Diego\, with an early look at the product roadmap. \nTickets and prices\nWorkday has not published 2027 prices\, and its site does not list an in-person registration fee. Pricing questions go to risingregistration@workday.events. For reference\, the 2026 digital passes were free for the Essentials pass and $299 for the All-Access pass\, which added all breakout sessions and 90 days of on-demand viewing. Several passes can be bought on one invoice through the Group Pass Portal\, and passes cannot be carried over from one year to the next. Wire transfers and checks carry a $150 processing fee per invoice\, and digital passes are not refunded. \nIs it worth going?\nIf your organization runs Workday for HR\, yes\, it is the place to hear the roadmap first\, see how other customers have configured the same tools and put questions to the product teams. The hands-on labs are useful if your team owns the system day to day. If you are an employee experience or internal comms leader on a different platform\, the value is lower\, because the content is built around one vendor’s products and you will not get vendor-neutral benchmarking. If Workday offers a free digital pass again\, it is a low-cost way to sample the content before you commit to travel. \nGood to know\nDates are September 27 to 30\, 2027\, in San Diego. Workday has not named a venue or hotel block yet.
