CrossCountry Trains supports nature projects local to its rail network as part of its biodiversity goals. Together we've planted 6,600 climate-resilient trees, restored 70,000 sq m of wildflower meadow, enhanced a mile of the National Cycle Network in Warwickshire, placed hedgehog monitoring cameras in Coventry and created wildflower gardens in schools along their routes.
LRG has run regular team volunteering days with us since 2022, from scrubbing native oysters in Portsmouth to woodland management and tree planting in the Chilterns. Their teams have contributed over 1,150 volunteer hours so far and are on track for 22 events by the end of the year.
