A full-day workshop that pairs kintsugi with simple mindfulness practice, and everyone takes home a piece.
You want a calm, creative, screen-free activity for your team.
You want a wellbeing experience that needs no skill or confidence.
You want an away day or team event that reframes repair and gets people talking.
Mending something broken side by side gives teams a gentle way to talk about mistakes and repair, and no one needs any craft experience to take part.
Clara Kintsugi offers workshops, organisational experiences and private commissions rooted in the Japanese art of mending broken ceramics with natural urushi lacquer.
Clara has practised kintsugi since 2014, having learned with respected teachers Nishikawa Iku-sensei and David Pike-sensei, and she blends traditional Japanese and modern western methods. A former midwife, she brings warmth, care and a mindful approach to every session.
Her workshops are welcoming to complete beginners and run at venues across Gloucestershire and Bristol, including Westonbirt Arboretum. Teams leave with something they have mended together and a fresh perspective on repair.
