Enable Disability & Inclusion

Enable Disability & Inclusion Consultants was founded in 2020 by Kate Dean, who spent more than a decade leading disability support teams in UK universities before starting the business.

The consultancy specialises in neurodiversity, mental health and hidden or invisible disabilities, and draws on Dean's own lived experience of neurodiversity alongside her professional background.

Services include consultancy, external audits, in-house training and individual workplace assessments, aimed at helping organisations identify adjustments, enabling technologies and changes to policy and practice that let disabled and neurodivergent staff work to their strengths.

Enable DI works collaboratively with partner organisations including accessible digital consultants, HR consultants, workplace coaches and assistive technology suppliers, so that recommendations from a workplace assessment can be followed through into practical support.

Clients range from organisations with a specific adjustment or project in mind to those beginning early conversations about disability, neurodiversity and inclusion, and are typically referred through HR teams, occupational health providers or employment law specialists.
