Gloat began as an internal talent marketplace matching employees to projects, gigs and open roles, and has since expanded into what it calls an agentic HR platform built around AI agents that act on workforce data rather than simply presenting it.

The platform includes transactional agents that answer routine HR questions, workflow agents that run processes such as performance reviews, onboarding and compensation adjustments, and strategic agents that support succession planning, workforce capacity modelling and skills gap analysis.

Its underlying technology combines a knowledge graph connecting people, skills and roles with a set of purpose-built HR tools for matching, skills clustering and career pathing, and integrates with HR systems including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle HCM, as well as Microsoft Teams and Copilot.

Gloat is used by large organisations including HSBC, and its tools are aimed primarily at HR and talent teams looking to move from static workforce planning towards ongoing, data-driven talent decisions.
