Employer-funded members get free access to specialists as part of their health benefit, with 24/7 virtual appointments across more than 30 women's and family health specialties, and care available in more than 175 countries. The platform combines clinical care with administrative tools that sit alongside a company's existing health plan, and Maven reports outcomes validated through Milliman claims-based studies, including reduced NICU admissions and improved rates of return to work after parental leave among members using the service.

It is generally provided to employees as an employer-paid benefit rather than a service employees pay for directly, though a self-pay consumer option is also available for people whose employer does not offer Maven. Adoption is typically part of a company's wider benefits package alongside standard health insurance.
