MHR iTrent
Independent EmEx review. Not a paid listing.
Best for: UK-only employers of 1,000+ staff, especially councils, universities, colleges and other public bodies with complex pay rules, that buy through G-Cloud and do not need US payroll.
What it covers
Native UK payroll and HR on the same database, with recruitment, onboarding, learning, performance, time and scheduling, case management, reporting and skills tools. People First, MHR's other platform, adds lighter engagement, survey and recognition features. The iTrent Mobile app covers leave, clocking, shifts and payslips. Data is held in the UK. MHR is listed on the UK G-Cloud 14 framework.
What it does not do
- US payroll and US HR compliance. No US product appears on MHR's pages.
- Multi-country payroll. Plan for a separate global payroll tool.
- Frontline comms. Employers that want news, campaigns or two-way comms for deskless staff add an employee app or comms tool.
- Deep listening, recognition and engagement. Large employers often keep a dedicated survey and recognition tool.
- Learning content, which usually comes from a learning provider.
- Compensation planning and benefits administration, which are not described in public material.
