Paylocity is a combined HR, payroll, finance and IT platform aimed at unifying the systems a company would otherwise run separately.

The payroll product handles pay processing and tax filing, while the finance side covers spend management with real-time visibility and automation, and the IT side covers asset management, access control and service support.

A single mobile app and community feature sits across all of this, alongside built-in analytics and reporting dashboards, workflow automation, and an AI layer, called Ignite AI, that is embedded into day-to-day HR, finance and IT processes rather than sold as a separate add-on.

The platform is designed to scale from small businesses of under 100 employees through midsize organisations to enterprises of 500 or more, with different levels of support and integration depending on company size. Paylocity works with clients on an ongoing partnership basis rather than a one-off implementation, with a dedicated client team supporting the account after go-live, and generally sits at the centre of a company's people, finance and IT technology stack rather than alongside a wider mix of separate tools.
