Barley, now rebranded as Workleap Compensation, is a compensation management platform that helps organisations build pay bands, run compensation review cycles and manage total rewards from a single system rather than spreadsheets.

It draws on benchmarking data from Mercer to help HR teams compare their pay bands against market rates, and supports global pay structures across different currencies and locations.

Features include configurable compensation review cycles with merit increase guidelines, budget pool allocation and forecasting, a sandbox mode for testing review scenarios before launch, automated generation of employee compensation letters, and analytics to track pay band adherence and surface pay gaps.

The platform connects to compensation decisions made in Workleap Performance and integrates directly with HRIS and payroll systems including BambooHR, ADP Workforce Now, Dayforce, HiBob, UKG Pro, Namely, Paylocity, Paycor and Workday.
