Starling Arts is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, founded in 2010 by community music facilitators Anna Shields and Emily Garsin, that runs workplace choirs and singing-based wellbeing sessions for organisations across London and beyond.
Its workplace choirs bring together colleagues from different departments, often people who would not otherwise meet, to sing as a group either in person or online, aimed at reducing stress, building confidence and creating a sense of connection and achievement across a workforce.
Sessions are led by experienced community music facilitators rather than performance coaches, and are designed to be accessible to people with no previous singing experience.
Beyond corporate workplace choirs, Starling Arts also runs community singing-for-wellbeing projects and workshops for existing choirs and community groups, reflecting its roots as a not-for-profit arts organisation rather than a purely commercial events company.
It suits organisations wanting an inclusive, wellbeing-focused way to bring people together across teams and departments, rather than a one-off entertainment booking.
