Sabio Group, the AI-focused customer experience transformation specialist, has reinforced its leadership team with the appointment of Mark Starkey as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Katherine Watkins as Chief People Officer (CPO).

The dual appointments signal a strategic move by the firm to align its global commercial growth objectives directly with a robust people strategy, necessary for managing rapid scaling in the AI and digital transformation sectors.

Focus on People and Commercial Excellence

Katherine Watkins, an experienced HR leader, will spearhead Sabio’s global people agenda. With a background in highly regulated, high-growth environments, her focus will be on championing talent development and elevating the organisation’s culture globally.

Commenting on her new role, Katherine Watkins said:

“I am joining Sabio at such an exciting stage in its journey. People are at the heart of every successful organisation and I look forward to working with the team to create an environment where our colleagues can thrive and deliver outstanding experiences for our clients.”

Mark Starkey joins as CCO, tasked with leading the global commercial operation to strengthen performance and deliver value for clients.

Mark Starkey added:

“I’m thrilled to join Sabio. We have the talent, experience and track record to help enterprises modernise customer engagement with AI; confidently, at speed and at scale.”

Steering AI-Driven Growth

Andy Roberts, CEO of Sabio Group, emphasised the instrumental role both leaders will play in the firm’s growth trajectory.

Andy Roberts stated:

“Strengthening our Operating Board with Mark and Katherine is a major step forward for Sabio. Mark’s commercial expertise and Katherine’s people-first approach will be instrumental as we continue to scale globally and deliver on our vision of transforming customer experience through innovation and AI-driven solutions. We’re delighted to welcome them both to the team.”

The strategic pairing of the CCO and CPO appointments reflects a trend among high-growth technology companies to ensure that talent and culture management are treated as equal partners to commercial objectives, especially as they navigate the complexity of AI integration and global expansion.
